Who we are

MISSION STATEMENT

The Piedmont Asian American Club (PAAC) was founded in 1987. Our mission is to engage Piedmont Schools and the community in cultural, educational, and social activities while acting as a forum and resource for Asian American issues in Piedmont.

Our membership is comprised of members of the Piedmont community.   Our Board Members have children participating in our community schools and student groups.

We engage with our community by organizing various events, hosting and co-hosting programs, and issue grants periodically.  Activities that we promote and work for fulfill one or more of the following topics to:

  • Widen awareness of Asian American issues and perspectives

  • Explore various Asian history and cultures

  • Examine social issues affecting Asian Americans

  • Celebrate achievements of Asian Americans

  • Collaborate with other community groups to increase diversity & cultural awareness in our multi-ethnic environment

Who We Are

We are volunteers that care about the community - from young children to our elders. I’ve lived in Piedmont for almost 26 years and have made so many lifelong friends.

For me, it’s all about building community - connecting good people together and watching families flourish. And I know, I’m a Matchmaker too, and my husband and I know have three young adults are grown and flown after special years in Piedmont.
